Saint Charbel is known among Lebanese Christiansas the "Miracle Monk of Lebanon". Saint Charbel has performed miracles to people that are sick, disabled, mentally ill and dying from various religions including Christians, Muslims, Buddhist, Hindus, Jewish, Druze, Alawites, Atheists to just name a few. People never saw his face when he was alive. He always kept his head down in church, at work or when walking, always looking to the ground. He would lift his eyes only to heaven. That's why he is always depicted with his eyes closed.
His feast day is July 24.
