The Pomegranate ornament is a traditional New Years gift in Greek culture. Considered as a lucky charm 'gouri".
Pomegranates signify the start of a new life or an era of change according to Christian belief.
For the Greek Orthodox Church, the pomegranate symbolizes the unity of faith (we are all equal under god) and its rich red seeds the belief in miracles and divine grace.
The plentiful red seeds represent fertility in a woman’s womb. For people who experience fertility issues. In many traditions, the pomegranate represents the hope of resurrection and renewal after death.
This item is a perfect Christmas/New Year gift, but also a great gift for a house warming, new business opening or for women with fertility struggles.
